​Ruined Man Productions, Tyler Mann and Rachel DeRoun knocked out the last of their feature, “I Voted” at Mona’s house.

LOGLINE: “A group of strangers can’t help but talk about their political ideas and differences when they undergo a lockdown at their polling location just as they are about to cast their vote during a tense presidential election.”

The filmmakers were focused on actor Leslie Santa Cruz today. Rachel and Tyler are working hard to get “I Voted” launched ahead of the November election.

​Mona’s scenes are with Due West stars Adrianne Palicki and Henry Thomas.

Adrianne Palicki, a power house leading lady hails from Ohio. She is of Polish, Hungarian, English and German ancestry. Some of her many projects include a series regular on the first three seasons of NBC's drama series Friday Night Lights. She has also worked on Legion, Red Dawn, The Orville, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and John Wick.

Henry Jackson Thomas is an American actor and musician born in San Antonio, Texas. Henry is famous for his role as Elliott in the 1982 Steven Spielberg film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial winning nominations and awards for his performance.

After college, Thomas returned to film and began to prove himself in adult roles. Thomas also had roles in films like Cloak & Dagger, Fire in the Sky, Legends of the Fall, Suicide Kings, All the Pretty Horses, Gangs of New York, and Dear John. Thomas was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Series, Miniseries or Television Film for his role in the television film Indictment: The McMartin Trial. He is currently both an actor and musician, and performs with the band The Blue Heelers.

An offbeat comedy about a schlubby intellectual, Lousy Carter retreads an even more well-worn patch of indie-film terrain than Patagonia but does so with a satisfying lightness of touch and a very healthy dose of self-awareness. Carter (David Krumholtz) is a middle-aged English literature professor who, upon receiving the news that he will die of a previously undetected terminal illness in six months’ time, is inspired to renew the long-dormant filmmaking project that’s haunted his mediocre life of unfulfilled creative potential. He enlists the help of one of the students, Gail (Luxy Banner), from his undergrad class on The Great Gatsby, a bright, sardonic foil who, very early on in their arrangement, recoils from a mere mention of the possibility of embarking on a morally dubious May-December relationship with Carter.
Not that Carter is necessarily lacking in sexual magnetism. After all, he’s conducting an affair with the wife, Candela (Olivia Thirlby), of his friend and university colleague, Kaminsky (Martin Starr), and the confrontation with his mortality serves as an opportunity to reckon with that and a number of other messy relationships with people that he knows, including his overly critical alcoholic mother (Mona Lee Fultz) and estranged sister (Trieste Kelly Dunn).

Mona’s latest project is playing “Grandma” in Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Adventure: a new film by Richard Linklater. Apollo is a new animated film which blends a combination of hand drawn animation, live action and CGI. Two of Mona’s child students, Danielle Guilbot and Jessica Brynn Cohen are also starring in the film. A former collegue, Tommy Palotta is the producer. 
"It struck me years ago that this was my film to make, from both a chronological and proximity level - I was there, going into 3rd grade. Our unique animation style allows both the conjuring of a world long gone, and the flowing, playful expression of memory and imagination. It’s been a fun, creative journey to incorporate things like 3D graphics into a live action shoot to help bring this story to life,” said Linklater.
Rick also took Mona’s acting classes in the early 90’s and says, “Mona, got me over the hump from amateur to BOOM professional.”
Mona has acted in six Linklater films. She says, “Working on Apollo was so fun. I’ve worked with the crew on numerous projects. It was like old home week. So many creative and talented people Austin can be proud of. Apollo will be released by Netflix.  

The beautiful Jocelin Donahue plays Mona's daughter and fellow Juilliard grad, James Eckhouse plays her husband, in Dead Awake. 

Dead Awake is produced by Derek Lee Nixon, directed by Phillip Guzman, and among the starring actors is Brea Grant. Brea hales from Marshall, Texas and studied with Mona Lee at BriteLites Acting Studio before getting cast in the TV series Friday Night Lights and Heros. She is an actress and writer, known for Halloween II, Pitch Perfect 2, and Homecoming. 

Producer, Derek Lee Nixon first started coaching with Mona when he was nine-years-old. Derek gained much notoriety in 2002 after playing Ryan Hammond, the fun loving, lackadaisical nephew of Roman business Tycoon Derek Hammond in Mary-Kate & Ashley's, When In Rome. He has also made a name for himself as a Film Producer, producing some of the movies that he stars in, including Hallettsville with Gary Busey, The Lights with Joe Estevez, and Outrage with Michael Madsen.
